Google will find your odd child's name

It occurred to me today.  Just one of those random thoughts that POPS into my head.  Well, probably too, because yesterday Ash and Wendy were talking about rando baby names.  One of Wendy's friends posted on facebook a picture of their new baby with the note "Please welcome Doppler!"  We were like WTF, seriously, like Doppler Radar?!!  Turns out, this was a joke, and the baby's real name is Hennelly.

It occurred to me today, how these kids with wacky names, will be so easily googled when they are older.  I have thought my name was that GREAT, but it's been a fine name...I don't have anything against it either.  I am starting to like it more now though, because it's a not too uncommon first and last name.  There are lots of my names out there across the United States and people with their own sites.  AND not only is my first and last name uncommon together, my middle name is also common in between the first and the last.  In fact, I just found [insertmyfirstandlastname].com and sure enough, her middle name is same as mine.

I like being not the only one, so I can have an online profile, but it's not a complete giveaway.

Think of how difficult it will be for these "no one named that" kids to keep online anonymity.  IMPOSSIBLE.

Even with a regular last name like Jones or Morris, if you're first name is wacky special like Clawboo or Diaper or Hanger...I don't think there will be many others with that same name therefore your child will be pretty "open" on the online world.

Help your child to be able to have their own online anonymity by giving them a name that isn't the only one in the world.  There are lots of other ways to be special.  Give that baby the option to tweet or blog or email without the world being able to locate he or she with one quick click "google."

okay. good talk.
