Grateful. I feel so grateful. I really can't wrap words around it.
I also can't remember the night before I left for NYC last year. I guess I was at my aunt's house in Douglasville, GA.
[I just looked back at my blog and realize it's BIG JEN'S birthday today!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG JEN, I LOVE YOU!!]
Tonight, I just have this feeling over me that is...
God is about the impossible.
the bible in Matthew 19:26 it says: Jesus looked at them and said "with Man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
it shouldn't be possible for a regular, medium-2-shitty income girl to quit her job in a recession to move to the most expensive city in the world and "make it." not just live but "make it!!"
in 2 months, I'll be back to about my savings before I left, i'm making more, paying the same to less housing as in clt.
It's mind-blowing to me when I stop and think about it.
Let me tell you my Creator is so good!
I am so thankful for God and I am so thankful for my friends. I can't even tell you how much my friends support has meant to me. My care packages, cards, emails, text messages, blog comments, fb posts, chats - i mean it seriously brings tears to my eyes to think of it. Several of you reading this are probably those people. It is amazing what strength friends can give you. I never will be able to thank enough the special people in my life that believed in me and told me I could do it. I am forever grateful. FOREVER.
I only wish I could just put you all in my pocket and have you here with me.
In the most amazing, different, crazy, unique, awe-inspiring city in the world. (YOU always have an air mattress here to lay your head on :)
How am I spending the eve of my New York City 1 YR Anniversary you ask???
Well, I came home a few minutes early, washed clothes, baked kale and a veggie patty with balsamic, and have been enjoying some Merlot ($2 buck chuck, you know!). My roommate came home and we're watching ABC - Surburgatory, Panam, and followed by 20/20 shortly. :-) [do you know me? don't judge!!]
Tomorrow I am having lunch with Orzo, one of my sweet sorority sisters, who is now my "neighbor" as a resident of DC. She is in town!!! Then at 1:45pm, I catch a $14 (how cheap!!!) bus to Philly to visit my girl Ashley Mac!!!
alright, i'm away. i love you. thank you. 100 times over. can YOU believe it??!! ONE YEAR!!! CRAZY!!!
