I attended two very special weddings this week in Charlotte.
Two lovelies who were in my Charlotte small group.
Both girls met their hubbies within weeks of each other about a year and a half ago (both connected through eHarmony too! hey, guess that's how to meet guys who are looking for marriage!)
To my point...
A lot of days, I very sincerely think that I'm not sure marriage is the thing for me. I don't look at life as something that is waiting on marriage to start. I have yet to meet a dude, that I wish I could spend all my days with.
The media and the world continually throws out one view of marriage that is that a lot of them end in divorce. And that people can't trust. Because people will let you down.
And church. Sometimes church gives a really lame view of marriage. just cheesy shit. and it's like life ends when you get married, and then you have to be with the old married people. and you have to fit that mold that, well, not sure that's me either.
But, seeing my friends - that makes me believe in holy matrimony. That does make me believe that God loves us enough to have someone else out there to share love and life with - as we are made.
Sharing in my friends' happiness, their joy, and their love - is special. These couples make the whole thing seem desirable and as God has planned.
thank you my lovelies! Your dependence on God to bring you the truest form of love under the heavens is inspiring.

Hey we go to church and our marriage isn't lame! (We might be, but not our marriage. haha) My life hasn't ended---I feel like I'm just getting in the swing of things! I am a little old, but that's just b/c I keep having birthdays, not because I got hitched! haha
noted, Deana K! just don't tell me your husband tells everyone at church how his wife is "smokin' hot" ... it's that kinda stuff that church ppl do, that makes me go. you're weird. :-)
